The 1898 Coupe Fine Champagne was a new product aimed specifically at the Chinese market.
In Chinese numerology, 8 is synonymous with prosperity and 9 with longevity. "1898" therefore evokes a long and prosperous future. We created this new volume from an archival design.
To match the antique references of the brand, the stopper and neck of the bottle were made to resemble a Roman ensign. With no label, the identity of the product is focused on the neck and stopper, with the centaur given pride of place.
The design of the bottle and box are a striking reflection of the brand's baseline: "the heart of cognac".
